A Little History
First Community Title as we know it, began in February 2002 when Central Community Corp purchased the local Old Republic Title office. In July, Claire Hartman was brought in to be president. At that time, there were closing offices on Exchange Place in Temple and a small office in Killeen purchased from the Ted Smith Law Office. There had been plans to merge with Commerce Title when we were purchased, but the agreement stalled and the merger did not take place.
In the fall of 2005, we opened a new escrow office in Salado next to First State Bank on Main street. As business boomed and offices grew, we needed to move! We relocated our Killeen office to Harker Heights, next door to First State Bank on Central Texas Expressway. We also began to see a real increase in need to expand into Coryell County. So when the opportunity presented itself, we opened an office in Gatesville on the square right across from the courthouse. Our most recent expansion includes the purchase of a remote plant in Williamson County.
The latest news in April 2017, First Community Title was purchased by President, Claire Hartman and Vice President, Brigitte Allen. Along with David Wolff & Will Lowery.
We hope you will choose First Community Title when it comes time to close your real estate transaction!
